Picture
Use this form to sign up for a visit from Kate Riley, Canon for Youth and Young Adults! Kate loves to spend time in and with the communities of the diocese. Visits can include, but aren't limited to:

-Preaching for Sunday services: homily is lectionary based with a youth/young adult focus.
-Leading/joining in formation sessions for all ages.
-Resourcing or attending a special Sunday like Youth Sunday, Senior Sunday, or Confirmation!
-Being an excited/invested adult for a youth group gathering or event
-Participating in an all-church or family event
- Assisting leadership meetings such as vestry or youth workers with resources, evaluations, and uplifting ideas!

If there are non-Sunday gatherings you'd like to have her come to, please email her directly. (You may even get a bonus of one of her small children in tow!)

Upon submission, Kate will reach out to confirm the date and set up the time that you would like to have a visit occur.
Youth and young adult ministry is the heart of the Church. In teaching young people different ways to grow in their relationship with the Lord, we help them prepare to serve Christ in all they do. As a result, this nurtures the congregations and helps the churches to flourish. God uses us all to serve the greater community and the world. Youth and young adult ministry incorporates all other ministries. We encourage our students and families to find what they are passionate about and find a ministry to partner with to change the world. It is also a goal of the Youth Ministry Office to connect, support, and be a resource for all those who work with families across the diocese.
Youth and young adult ministry is all about creating a balance between fun activities and providing opportunities for exploration of faith, the Bible, leadership, and building relationship. This presents itself in many forms: planning meetings, Bible studies, retreats, service trips, camps, concerts, and Sunday worship. It all comes down to building safe communities.
